Article L6123-8 of the French Labour Code

The Chief Executive Officer manages the institution in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Board of Directors. He prepares the Board’s decisions and ensures that they are implemented.

The Managing Director is appointed by decree, after receiving the opinion of the Board of Directors, on the report of the Minister for Vocational Training. The General Manager is heard by Parliament before his appointment and during his term of office. The Board of Directors may, by a two-thirds majority of its members, adopt a resolution requesting the dismissal of the Managing Director.

Le directeur général exerce la direction de l’institution dans le cadre des orientations définies par le conseil d’administration. Il prépare les délibérations de ce conseil et en assure l’exécution.

Le directeur général est nommé par décret, après avis du conseil d’administration, sur le rapport du ministre chargé de la formation professionnelle. Il est auditionné par le Parlement avant sa nomination et durant l’exercice de ses fonctions. Le conseil d’administration peut adopter, à la majorité des deux tiers de ses membres, une délibération demandant sa révocation.
