Article L614-22 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The provisions of Articles L. 614-19, L. 614-20 and L. 614-21 shall not apply where, since the applicant is not domiciled or headquartered in France, the Institut national de la propriété industrielle acts as receiving office in the place of the national office of another State party to the Washington Treaty, or where it has been designated as receiving office by the assembly of the union instituted by the said treaty.

Les dispositions des articles L. 614-19, L. 614-20 et L. 614-21 ne sont pas applicables lorsque, le déposant n’ayant pas son domicile ou son siège en France, l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle agit en tant qu’officier récepteur à la place de l’office national d’un autre Etat partie au traité de Washington, ou lorsqu’il a été désigné comme office récepteur par l’assemblée de l’union instituée par ledit traité.
