A medical biology laboratory may also carry out biological activities relating to medically assisted procreation and pathological anatomy and cytology examinations.

The biological activity of medically assisted procreation is subject to the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title II of this Book and to those of Title IV of Book I of Part II.

An anatomy and pathological cytology examination carried out in a medical biology laboratory is performed by a specialist doctor qualified in anatomy and pathological cytology or, for certain phases, under his responsibility, under conditions determined by regulation.

Un laboratoire de biologie médicale peut également réaliser des activités biologiques d’assistance médicale à la procréation ainsi que des examens d’anatomie et de cytologie pathologiques.

L’activité biologique d’assistance médicale à la procréation est soumise aux dispositions du chapitre 1er du titre II du présent livre ainsi qu’à celles du titre IV du livre Ier de la partie II.

Un examen d’anatomie et de cytologie pathologiques effectué dans un laboratoire de biologie médicale est réalisé par un médecin spécialiste qualifié en anatomie et cytologie pathologiques ou, pour certaines phases, sous sa responsabilité, dans les conditions déterminées par voie réglementaire.
