Article L6225-4 of the French Labour Code

If there is a serious risk of harm to the health or physical or moral integrity of the apprentice, the labour inspector mentioned in article L. 8112-1 or the equivalent inspector will propose to the regional director of companies, competition, consumption, labour and employment that the apprenticeship contract be suspended.

This suspension is accompanied by the employer continuing to pay the apprentice.

En cas de risque sérieux d’atteinte à la santé ou à l’intégrité physique ou morale de l’apprenti, l’agent de contrôle de l’inspection du travail mentionné à l’article L. 8112-1 ou le fonctionnaire de contrôle assimilé propose au directeur régional des entreprises, de la concurrence, de la consommation, du travail et de l’emploi la suspension du contrat d’apprentissage.

Cette suspension s’accompagne du maintien par l’employeur de la rémunération de l’apprenti.
