Article L6231-3 of the French Public Health Code

In the event of an emergency relating to the safety of patients or staff, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency may order the immediate interruption, in whole or in part, of the operation of the technical resources necessary for the performance of the activity, under conditions defined by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

In the event of an emergency involving the safety of patients or staff and concerning laboratories under the authority of the Minister of Defence, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency shall immediately inform the Minister, who shall take the appropriate measures without delay.

Article L6231-3

En cas d’urgence tenant à la sécurité des patients ou du personnel, le directeur général de l’agence régionale de santé peut prononcer l’interruption immédiate, totale ou partielle, du fonctionnement des moyens techniques nécessaires à la réalisation de l’activité, dans des conditions définies par décret en Conseil d’Etat.

En cas d’urgence tenant à la sécurité des patients ou du personnel et concernant les laboratoires relevant de l’autorité du ministre de la défense, le directeur général de l’agence régionale de santé informe immédiatement ce ministre, qui prend sans délai les mesures appropriées.
