Article L6314-2 of the French Labour Code

Certificates of professional qualification are drawn up by one or more national joint employment committees in a professional sector.

They are based, on the one hand, on a reference framework of activities which makes it possible to analyse work situations and to deduce the necessary knowledge and skills and, on the other hand, on a certification reference framework which defines the methods and criteria for assessing acquired knowledge.

The vocational qualification certificates and the reference systems referred to in the previous paragraph are forwarded to the Commission nationale de la certification professionnelle (National Commission for Vocational Certification).

Article L6314-2
