A public interest group implements, at national level, the missions of the public service for the validation of prior learning mentioned in article L. 6411-1.
The group contributes to informing people and guiding them in the organisation of their career. It also contributes to the promotion of the validation of prior learning, taking into account the needs in terms of qualifications according to the territory, as well as the coordination and coherence of practices throughout the territory and enables the statistical monitoring of pathways.
The State, the regions, within the scope of their powers as defined in articles L. 6121-1 and L. 6121-2, Pôle emploi, the body mentioned in article L. 5315-1, the skills operators and the regional joint inter-professional committees are ex officio members of the grouping, which other public or private legal entities may join.
