Article L6411-2 of the French Labour Code

A public interest group implements, at national level, the missions of the public service for the validation of prior learning mentioned in article L. 6411-1.

The group contributes to informing people and guiding them in the organisation of their career. It also contributes to the promotion of the validation of prior learning, taking into account the needs in terms of qualifications according to the territory, as well as the coordination and coherence of practices throughout the territory and enables the statistical monitoring of pathways.

The State, the regions, within the scope of their powers as defined in articles L. 6121-1 and L. 6121-2, Pôle emploi, the body mentioned in article L. 5315-1, the skills operators and the regional joint inter-professional committees are ex officio members of the grouping, which other public or private legal entities may join.

Article L6411-2

Un groupement d’intérêt public met en œuvre, au niveau national, les missions du service public de la validation des acquis de l’expérience mentionné à l’article L. 6411-1.

Le groupement contribue à l’information des personnes et à leur orientation dans l’organisation de leur parcours. Il contribue également à la promotion de la validation des acquis de l’expérience, en tenant compte des besoins en qualifications selon les territoires, ainsi qu’à l’animation et à la cohérence des pratiques sur l’ensemble du territoire et permet d’assurer le suivi statistique des parcours.

L’Etat, les régions, dans le cadre de leurs compétences définies aux articles L. 6121-1 et L. 6121-2, Pôle emploi, l’organisme mentionné à l’article L. 5315-1, les opérateurs de compétences et les commissions paritaires interprofessionnelles régionales sont membres de droit du groupement, auquel peuvent adhérer d’autres personnes morales publiques ou privées.
