Article L6434-4 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

When the president of the territorial council and the vice-presidents delegated by the president use the universal service employment cheque provided for by Article L. 1522-1 of the French Labour Code to ensure the remuneration of employees responsible for either childcare, or assistance to the elderly, disabled or those who require personal assistance in their own home or mobility assistance in the local environment to help them remain in their own home in application of the aforementioned Article L. 1522-1 aforementioned of the same code, the territorial council may grant them financial aid by deliberation, under conditions set by decree.

The benefit of this article cannot be combined with that of the provisions of the fourth paragraph of Article L. 6434-5.

Article L6434-4

Lorsque le président du conseil territorial et les vice-présidents ayant reçu délégation de celui-ci utilisent le chèque emploi service universel prévu par l’article L. 1522-1 du code du travail pour assurer la rémunération des salariés chargés soit de la garde des enfants, soit de l’assistance aux personnes âgées, handicapées ou à celles qui ont besoin d’une aide personnelle à leur domicile ou d’une aide à la mobilité dans l’environnement de proximité favorisant leur maintien à domicile en application de l’article L. 1522-1 précité du même code, le conseil territorial peut leur accorder par délibération une aide financière, dans des conditions fixées par décret.

Le bénéfice du présent article ne peut se cumuler avec celui des dispositions du quatrième alinéa de l’article L. 6434-5.
