Article L7121-3 of the French Labour Code

Any contract by which a person secures, in return for remuneration, the services of an entertainer with a view to its production, is presumed to be a contract of employment where the entertainer does not carry out the activity which is the subject of the contract under conditions requiring his registration in the Trade and Companies Register.

Tout contrat par lequel une personne s’assure, moyennant rémunération, le concours d’un artiste du spectacle en vue de sa production, est présumé être un contrat de travail dès lors que cet artiste n’exerce pas l’activité qui fait l’objet de ce contrat dans des conditions impliquant son inscription au registre du commerce et des sociétés.
