Article L7125-10 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

At the end of his or her term of office, the President of the Assembly of French Guyana or any Vice-President delegated by him or her who, in order to carry out his or her term of office, has ceased his or her salaried professional activity is entitled, at his or her request, to professional training and a skills assessment under the conditions set out in Part Six of the Labour Code.

When the person concerned applies for the training leave provided for in articles L. 6322-1 to L. 6322-3 of the same code as well as the skills assessment leave provided for in article L. 6322-42 of the said code, the time spent as a local representative is assimilated to the periods of activity required for access to this leave.

A la fin de son mandat, le président de l’assemblée de Guyane ou tout vice-président ayant reçu délégation de celui-ci qui, pour l’exercice de son mandat, a cessé son activité professionnelle salariée a droit, sur sa demande, à une formation professionnelle et à un bilan de compétences dans les conditions fixées par la sixième partie du code du travail.

Lorsque l’intéressé demande à bénéficier du congé de formation prévu aux articles L. 6322-1 à L. 6322-3 du même code ainsi que du congé de bilan de compétences prévu à l’article L. 6322-42 dudit code, le temps passé au titre du mandat local est assimilé aux durées d’activité exigées pour l’accès à ces congés.
