Article L72-111-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The mission of Martinique’s territorial health promotion centre is to ensure that reforms to the health and care system are geared towards the specific needs of the local authority.

The Centre Territorial de Promotion de la Santé is made up, on the one hand, of health professionals, representatives of social security and the administration as well as local bodies in charge of health promotion, chosen according to a procedure and arrangements laid down by the Martinique Assembly and, on the other hand, at least half of its members are councillors at the Martinique Assembly.

Le centre territorial de promotion de la santé de Martinique a pour mission de veiller à ce que les réformes du système de santé et de soins s’orientent vers les besoins spécifiques de la collectivité territoriale.

Le centre territorial de promotion de la santé est composé, d’une part, de professionnels de la santé, de représentants de la sécurité sociale et de l’administration ainsi que des organismes locaux en charge de la promotion de la santé, choisis selon une procédure et des modalités arrêtées par l’assemblée de Martinique et, d’autre part, pour moitié au moins, de conseillers à l’assemblée de Martinique.
