Article L7222-23 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

After the election of its President and Vice-Presidents, under the conditions provided for in Article L. 7223-2, the Assembly of Martinique may form its committees and appoint its members or delegates to sit on outside bodies.

The Martinique Assembly may delegate to its President the exercise of certain of its powers pursuant to Article L. 7224-18.

In this case and by way of derogation from Article L. 7222-21, reports on business submitted to the councillors may be communicated to them during the meeting; a suspension of the sitting is as of right.

Après l’élection de son président et de ses vice-présidents, dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 7223-2, l’assemblée de Martinique peut former ses commissions et procéder à la désignation de ses membres ou de ses délégués pour siéger au sein d’organismes extérieurs.

L’assemblée de Martinique peut déléguer à son président l’exercice de certaines de ses attributions en application de l’article L. 7224-18.

En ce cas et par dérogation à l’article L. 7222-21, les rapports sur les affaires soumises aux conseillers peuvent leur être communiqués en cours de réunion ; une suspension de séance est de droit.
