Article L7222-8 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The first meeting of the Martinique Assembly is held ipso jure on the first Friday following its election.

At the first meeting of the assembly, immediately after the election of its president, vice-presidents, executive councillors and the president of the executive council, the president of the assembly shall read out the charter for locally elected representatives provided for in article L. 1111-1-1. The president provides the councillors at the assembly with a copy of the charter for locally elected representatives and of chapter VII of this title.

La première réunion de l’assemblée de Martinique se tient de plein droit le premier vendredi qui suit son élection.

Lors de la première réunion de l’assemblée, immédiatement après l’élection de son président, de ses vice-présidents, des conseillers exécutifs et du président du conseil exécutif, le président de l’assemblée donne lecture de la charte de l’élu local prévue à l’article L. 1111-1-1. Le président remet aux conseillers à l’assemblée une copie de la charte de l’élu local et du chapitre VII du présent titre.
