The inspectors, controllers, officers and agents mentioned in the previous paragraph are empowered to record breaches of the provisions of the labour regulations applicable to personnel on board ships registered in Mayotte, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna and the French Southern and Antarctic Territories which call at a port of a French department or Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. For ships calling at foreign ports and roads, the offences mentioned in the previous paragraph are recorded by the consular authority, excluding consular agents.

Les inspecteurs, contrôleurs, officiers et agents mentionnés à l’alinéa précédent sont habilités à constater les infractions aux dispositions des régimes du travail applicables aux personnels embarqués à bord des navires immatriculés à Mayotte, en Nouvelle-Calédonie, en Polynésie française, à Wallis-et-Futuna et dans les Terres australes et antarctiques françaises qui font escale dans un port d’un département français ou de Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. Pour les navires touchant les rades et ports étrangers, la constatation des infractions mentionnées à l’alinéa précédent est confiée à l’autorité consulaire, à l’exclusion des agents consulaires.
