Article L742-7 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

In exceptional circumstances, the matter may again be referred to the liberty and custody judge for the purpose of extending the period of detention beyond the maximum period provided for in article L. 742-6, under the conditions provided for in article L. 742-5. In this case, the maximum period of detention shall not exceed two hundred and ten days.

Article L742-7

A titre exceptionnel, le juge des libertés et de la détention peut à nouveau être saisi aux fins de prolongation du maintien au-delà de la durée maximale de rétention prévue à l’article L. 742-6, dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 742-5. La durée maximale de la rétention n’excède alors pas deux cent dix jours.
