Article R 1424-60 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The National Conference of Fire and Rescue Services is chaired by one of its members mentioned in a, b, c, and d of article R. 1424-59, elected by them by secret ballot and by an absolute majority.

If after two ballots no candidate has obtained an absolute majority, a third ballot will be held by relative majority. In the event of a tie, the oldest candidate is declared elected.

A vice-chairman is elected under the same conditions.
A vice-chairman is elected under the same conditions.

La Conférence nationale des services d’incendie et de secours est présidée par un de ses membres mentionnés aux a, b, c, et d de l’article R. 1424-59, élu par ceux-ci au scrutin secret et à la majorité absolue.


Si après deux tours de scrutin aucun candidat n’a obtenu la majorité absolue, il est procédé à un troisième tour de scrutin à la majorité relative. En cas d’égalité de suffrages, le plus âgé est déclaré élu.


Un vice-président est élu dans les mêmes conditions.
