Article R101 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Proceedings and exhibits shall be entrusted to the members of the escort.

If, in this case, exceptional expenses have had to be advanced by the members of the escort, they shall, in order to obtain reimbursement, enter the amount thereof on their statement of account.

If, by reason of weight or volume, the objects cannot be transported by the members of the escort, they shall be transported, at the written request of the magistrate, either by rail, or by a contractor, or by any other more economical means, subject to suitable precautions for the safety of the said objects.

Article R101

Les procédures et les pièces à conviction sont confiées aux membres de l’escorte.

Si, en ce cas, des frais exceptionnels ont dû être avancés par les membres de l’escorte, ceux-ci, pour en obtenir le remboursement, en portent le montant sur leur mémoire.

Si, à raison du poids ou du volume, les objets ne peuvent être transportés par les membres de l’escorte, ils le sont, sur réquisition écrite du magistrat, soit par chemin de fer, soit par un entrepreneur, soit par toutes autres voies plus économiques, sauf les précautions convenables pour la sûreté desdits objets.
