The following articles of the Electoral Code are applicable to preparatory polling operations and the conduct of voting operations:
1° Article R. 40 relating to the division of voters into polling stations;
2° Article R. 41 relating to polling times;
3° Article R. 42 relating to the composition of the polling station;
4° Article R. 43 relating to the chairmanship of this office;
5° Article R. 44 relating to the appointment of assessors;
6° Article R. 45 relating to the appointment of their substitute;
7° Article R. 46 relating to the notification to the mayor and the presidents of the polling stations of the lists of assessors and substitutes;
8° Article R. 47 relating to the role of delegates of lists of candidates or candidates;
9° Article R. 48 prohibiting discussions and deliberations inside polling stations;
10° The articles R. 49 and R. 50 relating to the policing of the polling station;
11° Article R. 51 relating to the replacement of assessors and delegates who have been expelled;
12° Article R. 52 relating to the powers of the bureau to settle difficulties provisionally by reasoned decisions and entries in the minutes;
13° Article R. 53 relating to the use of voting machines in communes where it is authorised;
14° Article R. 54 relating to electoral envelopes;
15° Article R. 57 relating to the public recording of the time at which the poll opens and closes;
16° Article R. 58 relating to checks on the identity of voters;
17° Article R. 59 relating to the obligation to be registered on the electoral roll;
18° Article R. 60 relating to proof of identity in communes with more than 5,000 inhabitants;
19° The articles R. 61 and R. 62 relating to the electoral roll and its control;
20° Les articles R. 72 to R. 80 relating to proxy voting.
For the application of article R. 41 of the electoral code, the representative of the State may postpone the closing time of the poll in one or more communes.
