Article R1131-19 of the French Public Health Code

The report on the analyses mentioned in 1° and 2° of article R. 1131-2 is commented on and signed by the practitioner approved in accordance with article R. 1131-6 and that on the medical biology analyses mentioned in 3° of article R. 1131-2 by the practitioner responsible for these analyses.

The prescribing doctor communicates the results of the examination of genetic characteristics to the person concerned or, where applicable, to the persons mentioned in the second paragraph of article L. 1131-1, as part of an individual medical consultation.

The person concerned may refuse to be informed of the results of the examination. In this case, and subject to the provisions of the fourth paragraph of article L. 1111-2, the refusal is recorded in writing in the person’s file.

Le compte rendu des analyses mentionnées aux 1° et 2° de l’article R. 1131-2 est commenté et signé par le praticien agréé conformément à l’article R. 1131-6 et celui des analyses de biologie médicale mentionnées au 3° de l’article R. 1131-2 par le praticien responsable de ces analyses.

Le médecin prescripteur communique les résultats de l’examen des caractéristiques génétiques à la personne concernée ou, le cas échéant, aux personnes mentionnées au deuxième alinéa de l’article L. 1131-1, dans le cadre d’une consultation médicale individuelle.

La personne concernée peut refuser que les résultats de l’examen lui soient communiqués. Dans ce cas, et sous réserve des dispositions du quatrième alinéa de l’article L. 1111-2, le refus est consigné par écrit dans le dossier de la personne.
