Article R114-6 of the French Sports Code

The Chairman of the Board of Directors is appointed by order of the Minister for Sport from among the qualified persons mentioned in 3° of article R. 114-4, on the recommendation of the Chairman of the Regional Council.

The age limit for this person at the time of appointment is sixty-eight.

If the Chairman is unable to act, the Board of Directors meets under the chairmanship of one of the members of the Board of Directors, appointed by the Board of Directors, first and foremost from among the members mentioned in 3° of article R. 114-4 and failing that, from among the other members of the Board of Directors. The procedures for this appointment are specified in the Board of Directors’ internal rules.

Article R114-6

Le président du conseil d’administration est nommé par arrêté du ministre chargé des sports parmi les personnalités qualifiées mentionnées au 3° de l’article R. 114-4, sur proposition du président du conseil régional.

La limite d’âge qui lui est opposable au moment de sa nomination est fixée à soixante-huit ans.

En cas d’empêchement du président, le conseil d’administration se réunit sous la présidence d’un des membres du conseil d’administration, désigné par le conseil d’administration, en priorité parmi les membres mentionnés au 3° de l’article R. 114-4 et à défaut, parmi les autres membres du conseil d’administration. Les modalités de cette désignation sont précisées dans le règlement intérieur du conseil d’administration.
