Article R1232-2 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

With the exception of members of parliament and staff representatives, the members of the Board of Directors are appointed by order of the Minister responsible for regional planning and, in the case of State representatives, on the proposal of the minister they represent.

The term of office for members other than Members of Parliament is three years.
If a member loses the capacity for which he was appointed, he shall automatically resign from the Board of Directors.

> The term of office of a member of the Board of Directors shall be three years.
The office of member of the Board of Directors is held free of charge, subject to reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses under the conditions laid down in the regulations applicable to civil servants of the French State.

Article R1232-2

A l’exception des parlementaires et des représentants du personnel, les membres du conseil d’administration sont nommés par arrêté du ministre chargé de l’aménagement du territoire et, en ce qui concerne les représentants de l’Etat, sur proposition du ministre qu’ils représentent.

La durée du mandat des membres autres que les parlementaires est de trois ans.

La perte de la qualité au titre de laquelle un membre a été nommé entraine sa démission de plein droit du conseil d’administration.

Le mandat de membre du conseil d’administration s’exerce à titre gratuit sous réserve du remboursement des frais de déplacement et de séjour dans les conditions prévues par la réglementation applicable aux personnels civils de l’Etat.
