Article R1331-65 of the French Public Health Code

Tourist accommodation not mentioned in 5° of article R. 1331-14 may be made available to visiting customers who do not elect domicile there and who are staying there on a daily, weekly or monthly rental basis under the following conditions:

1° It must have a minimum ceiling height that allows the occupant to move around without risk, and to move freely and easily within the accommodation;

2° It must be clean and in good condition, as must its furnishings.

Occupancy conditions must ensure that there is no danger or risk to the physical safety or health of persons.

Les hébergements touristiques non mentionnés au 5° de l’article R. 1331-14 peuvent être mis à disposition d’une clientèle de passage qui n’y élit pas domicile et qui y effectue un séjour caractérisé par une location à la journée, à la semaine ou au mois dans les conditions suivantes :

1° Avoir une hauteur minimale sous plafond permettant pour l’occupant de se mouvoir sans risque, et circuler librement et aisément dans l’hébergement ;

2° Etre propre et en bon état ainsi que son mobilier.

Les conditions d’occupation assurent l’absence de danger ou de risque pour la sécurité physique ou la santé des personnes.
