Article R142-26 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The Minister for the Interior (Directorate General of the National Police) is authorised to implement, on the basis of 3° of L. 142-1, automated processing of personal data called “Gestion de l’éloignement” (GESTEL) (Removal Management), the purposes of which are:
1° To manage the operational, material and logistical implementation of removal measures, within the central border police directorate;
2° To improve the execution of removal measures through the dematerialisation of external and internal information exchanges;
3° To guarantee the monitoring of removal procedures and facilitate their control.

Article R142-26

Le ministre de l’intérieur (direction générale de la police nationale) est autorisé à mettre en œuvre, sur le fondement du 3° de L. 142-1, un traitement automatisé de données à caractère personnel dénommé ” Gestion de l’éloignement ” (GESTEL) ayant pour finalités :
1° D’assurer la gestion de la mise en œuvre opérationnelle, matérielle et logistique des mesures d’éloignement, au sein de la direction centrale de la police aux frontières ;
2° D’améliorer l’exécution des mesures d’éloignement par la dématérialisation des échanges d’informations externes et internes ;
3° De garantir le suivi des procédures d’éloignement et d’en faciliter le contrôle.
