Article R142-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The rights of information, access, rectification and limitation may be exercised with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Directorate of French Nationals Abroad and Consular Administration), the Ministry responsible for Immigration (Directorate of Immigration) or the department where the visa application was submitted, under the conditions laid down respectively in Articles 13, 15, 16 and 18 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 and by Articles 49 and 50 of Law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms.

Les droits d’information, d’accès, de rectification et à la limitation s’exercent auprès du ministère des affaires étrangères (direction des Français à l’étranger et de l’administration consulaire), du ministère chargé de l’immigration (direction de l’immigration) ou du service où la demande de visa a été déposée, dans les conditions prévues respectivement aux articles 13, 15, 16 et 18 du règlement (UE) 2016/679 du 27 avril 2016 et par les articles 49 et 50 de la loi n° 78-17 du 6 janvier 1978 relative à l’informatique, aux fichiers et aux libertés.
