Public health pharmacist inspectors participate in the design of public health policy and are responsible, in the regional health agencies, for implementing, enforcing and monitoring this policy in their area of responsibility. They monitor the application of laws and regulations relating to the practice of pharmacy and medical biology, the pharmacy professions, the activities and products mentioned in article L. 5311-1 and veterinary medicinal products.
They are qualified to exercise functions of management, supervision, control, inspection, expertise, study, teaching and research, including in international organisations.
They contribute to the organisation of the health system and health promotion. In particular, they are involved in risk prevention and crisis management in the field of public health.
As part of their remit, they may be entrusted with special studies and missions.
They may be involved in teaching, training and research in the field of public health.
In the performance of their duties, they shall ensure compliance with professional secrecy and professional rules.
