Article R1423-36 of the French Labour Code

Subject to the provisions of the second paragraph of article L. 123-1 of the Code de l’organisation judiciaire, each industrial tribunal has a registry, the service of which is provided by State employees.

In the industrial tribunals referred to in the second paragraph of article L. 123-1 of the Code de l’organisation judiciaire, the registry service of the industrial tribunal is managed by the director of the registry of the judicial court.

In the case provided for in the previous paragraph, in addition to those provided for by the provisions of the code de l’organisation judiciaire, the director of the court registry of the judicial court exercises, unless otherwise provided, the powers entrusted to the director of the court registry of the industrial tribunal provided for by the provisions of this code.

The first president of the court of appeal, after consultation with the president of the industrial tribunal, sets the days and hours when the court registry is open to the public.

Sous réserve des dispositions du deuxième alinéa de l’article L. 123-1 du code de l’organisation judiciaire, chaque conseil de prud’hommes comporte un greffe dont le service est assuré par des fonctionnaires de l’Etat.

Dans les conseils de prud’hommes mentionnés au deuxième alinéa de l’article L. 123-1 du code de l’organisation judiciaire, la direction du service de greffe du conseil de prud’hommes est assurée par le directeur de greffe du tribunal judiciaire.

Dans le cas prévu à l’alinéa précédent, outre celles prévues par les dispositions du code de l’organisation judiciaire, le directeur de greffe du tribunal judiciaire exerce, sauf disposition contraire, les attributions confiées au directeur de greffe du conseil de prud’hommes prévues par les dispositions du présent code.

Le premier président de la cour d’appel fixe, après avis du président du conseil de prud’hommes, les jours et heures d’ouverture au public du greffe.
