Article R1451-11 of the French Public Health Code

I.-The authority or body to which the compliance officer is assigned shall provide him with the resources to enable him to carry out his task of monitoring the application of the system for declaring links of interest and preventing conflicts of interest in complete independence.

II – When the compliance officer is a person from outside the authority or body, his/her travel expenses will be paid. He or she may be awarded an allowance, the amount of which is set, depending on the scope of the assignment, by an order of the ministers responsible for the budget and health.

I.-L’autorité ou l’organisme auprès duquel est placé le déontologue met à sa disposition les moyens lui permettant d’exercer en toute indépendance sa mission de contrôle de l’application du dispositif de déclaration des liens d’intérêts et de prévention des conflits d’intérêts.

II.-Lorsque le déontologue est une personnalité extérieure à l’autorité ou à l’organisme, ses frais de déplacement sont pris en charge. Il peut lui être attribué une indemnité dont le montant est fixé, en fonction de l’ampleur de la mission, par un arrêté des ministres chargés du budget et de la santé.
