Article R1454-7 of the French Labour Code

The rules of procedure establish a rotation within the conciliation and referral office between all employee and employer conciliation officers. They may provide for certain labour arbitration advisors to be assigned to this office on a priority basis.

The chairmanship alternates between the employee and the employer, according to a rotation established by these rules. The person who chairs the committee first is chosen by lot.

Le règlement intérieur établit un roulement au sein du bureau de conciliation et d’orientation entre tous les conseillers prud’hommes salariés et employeurs. Il peut prévoir l’affectation de certains conseillers prud’hommes par priorité à ce bureau.

La présidence appartient alternativement au salarié et à l’employeur, suivant un roulement établi par ce règlement. Celui des deux qui préside le bureau le premier est désigné par le sort.
