For the application of the provisions of article L. 212-9, the cinematographic area of influence of a cinema development project corresponds to the geographical area within which the cinematographic establishment for which authorisation is requested attracts spectators.
This area is defined taking into account, in particular, the nature and size of the proposed cinema, the travel time required to access it, the presence of any geographical or psychological barriers, the location and drawing power of existing cinemas and the location of cinemas operating under the same name as the cinema in question.
