In the light of the certificate provided by the couple or the unmarried woman of the pre-implantation diagnosis, one of the practitioners of the multidisciplinary clinical-biological medical team obtains the written consent of the two members of the couple or the unmarried woman, prior to the implementation of medically assisted procreation. This consent is expressed on a form, the content of which is set by order of the Minister of Health, issued after consultation with the Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine.
The practitioner approved for the retrieval activity mentioned in 1° of Article R. 2131-22-2 may only retrieve the embryo in the light of the certificate establishing the indication for diagnosis and the consent of the couple or the unmarried woman.
The embryonic cell or cells removed are sent, together with a copy of the certificate establishing the indication of the diagnosis and the consent form from the couple or the unmarried woman, to the practitioner approved to carry out the cytogenetic examination, including molecular cytogenetic examination, or the molecular genetic examination.
