Article R2142-29 of the French Public Health Code

The health establishment, body, health cooperation group or laboratory authorised to carry out the activities mentioned in e of 2° of Article R. 2142-1 keeps, with due respect for confidentiality, for each person whose gametes or germ tissue it stores, in application of the provisions of Article L. 2141-11:

1° The written consent of the person and, where applicable, that of the holder of parental authority in the case of a minor ;

2° The reason for and indication of the conservation of gametes or germ tissue jointly with the doctor treating the pathology likely to affect the person’s fertility.

Article R2142-29

L’établissement de santé, l’organisme, le groupement de coopération sanitaire ou le laboratoire autorisé au titre des activités mentionnées au e du 2° de l’article R. 2142-1 conserve, dans le respect de la confidentialité, pour chaque personne dont il conserve des gamètes ou des tissus germinaux, en application des dispositions de l’article L. 2141-11 :

1° Le consentement écrit de la personne et, le cas échéant, celui du titulaire de l’autorité parentale s’il s’agit d’un mineur ;

2° Le motif et l’indication de la conservation des gamètes ou des tissus germinaux posée conjointement avec le médecin qui prend en charge la pathologie susceptible d’altérer la fertilité de la personne.
