Article R2151-14 of the French Public Health Code

Only organisations may obtain authorisation to import or export embryonic stem cells for research purposes:

1° Holders of the authorisation provided for in Article L. 2151-5 ;

2° Having made the declaration provided for in Article L. 2151-6, without the Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine having objected to the implementation of the protocol, or the declaration provided for in Article L. 2151-9.

Seuls peuvent obtenir une autorisation d’importer ou d’exporter à des fins de recherche des cellules souches embryonnaires les organismes :

1° Titulaires de l’autorisation prévue à l’article L. 2151-5 ;

2° Ayant effectué la déclaration prévue à l’article L. 2151-6, sans que le directeur général de l’Agence de la biomédecine se soit opposé à la réalisation du protocole, ou la déclaration prévue à l’article L. 2151-9.
