Article R2312-44 of the French Labour Code

The inter-company social and cultural activities committee comprises:

1° An employers’ representative appointed by the employers. Assisted by one or two alternates, he chairs the committee;

2° Representatives of the employees of each social and economic committee, chosen as far as possible to ensure representation of the various categories of employees, at the rate of two delegates per committee and without their number exceeding twelve, unless there is a collective agreement to the contrary with the trade union organisations or, in the absence of such an agreement, unless an exemption is expressly granted by the Labour Inspector.

Le comité des activités sociales et culturelles interentreprises comprend :


1° Un représentant des employeurs désigné par eux. Assisté d’un ou de deux suppléants, il préside le comité ;


2° Des représentants des salariés de chaque comité social et économique choisis autant que possible de façon à assurer la représentation des diverses catégories de salariés, à raison de deux délégués par comité et sans que leur nombre puisse dépasser douze, sauf accord collectif contraire avec les organisations syndicales ou, à défaut d’accord, sauf dérogation accordée expressément par l’inspecteur du travail.
