Article R233-8 of the French Code of civil enforcement procedures

The day, time and place of the sale are advertised in the press and, if necessary, by posters.
Such advertising shall be carried out not more than one month and not less than fifteen days before the date set for the sale.
The debtor, the company and, if applicable, the other opposing creditors are notified of the date of the sale.

La publicité indiquant les jour, heure et lieu de la vente est effectuée par voie de presse et, si nécessaire, par voie d’affiches.
Cette publicité est effectuée un mois au plus et quinze jours au moins avant la date fixée pour la vente.
Le débiteur, la société et, s’il y a lieu, les autres créanciers opposants sont informés de la date de la vente par voie de notification.
