Article R2393-40 of the French Public procurement code

A subcontractor who has been accepted and whose payment conditions have been approved may assign or pledge all or part of his claim, up to the amount of the services paid directly to him.
A copy of the original of the contract or of the certificate of transferability provided for in article R. 2191-46 or, where applicable, of the special deed provided for in article R. 2393-27 designating a subcontractor accepted for direct payment, shall be given to each subcontractor benefiting from direct payment.

Le sous-traitant qui a été accepté et dont les conditions de paiement ont été agréées peut céder ou nantir, à concurrence du montant des prestations qui lui sont réglées directement, tout ou partie de sa créance.
La copie de l’original du marché ou du certificat de cessibilité prévu à l’article R. 2191-46 ou, le cas échéant, de l’acte spécial prévu à l’article R. 2393-27 désignant un sous-traitant admis au paiement direct, est remise à chaque sous-traitant bénéficiant du paiement direct.
