Article R3115-17 of the French Public Health Code

The major seaports mentioned inarticle R. 5312-1 of the French Transport Code have the status of territorial entry points.

For Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Reunion Island, Mayotte, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, ports whose annual traffic exceeds a number of passengers defined by a decree issued by the ministers responsible for the interior, overseas departments and territories, health and transport are considered to be territorial entry points. The number of ports is limited to one for each local authority. This is the port with the highest annual traffic.

The list of ports selected is the subject of a decree.

Les grands ports maritimes mentionnés à l’article R. 5312-1 du code des transports ont la qualité de points d’entrée du territoire.

Pour la Guadeloupe, la Guyane, la Martinique, La Réunion, Mayotte, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin et Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, les ports dont le trafic annuel est supérieur à un nombre de passagers défini par un arrêté pris par les ministres chargés de l’intérieur, de l’outre-mer, de la santé et des transports ont la qualité de point d’entrée du territoire. Le nombre de port est limité à un pour chaque collectivité. Celui-ci est le port dont le trafic annuel est le plus important.

La liste des ports retenus fait l’objet d’un décret.
