Article R3115-66 of the French Public Health Code

I. – In the case of international travel, operators of means of transport and travel agents or other operators selling travel and holidays shall provide their customers with information on the known health risks of their destination and, where appropriate, on the recommended protective measures.

The conditions and procedures for disseminating this information are set by order of the ministers responsible for agriculture, foreign affairs, health, tourism and transport.

II. – In the event of a risk to public health and at the request of the Prefect, the operators of means of transport and transport infrastructures shall disseminate, by any means, to each passenger coming from or going to areas defined by the Prefect, information relating to the hygiene precautions to be observed or the conduct to be adopted in the presence of suspected cases in order to avoid the international spread of a disease. This measure may be restricted to certain points of entry into France.

I. – Dans le cas d’un voyage international, les exploitants de moyens de transports et les agents de voyages ou autres opérateurs de la vente de voyages et de séjours indiquent à leurs clients les moyens de s’informer sur les risques sanitaires connus de leur destination ainsi que, le cas échéant, sur les mesures de protection recommandées.

Les conditions et modalités de diffusion de ces informations sont fixées par arrêté des ministres chargés de l’agriculture, des affaires étrangères, de la santé, du tourisme et des transports.

II. – En cas de risque pour la santé publique et sur demande du préfet, les exploitants de moyens de transports et d’infrastructures de transport diffusent, par tout moyen, à chaque passager en provenance ou à destination de zones définies par le préfet, les informations relatives aux précautions d’hygiène à respecter ou à la conduite à tenir en présence de cas suspects afin d’éviter la propagation internationale d’une maladie. Cette mesure peut être restreinte à certains points d’entrée du territoire.

Les conditions et modalités de diffusion de ces informations sont fixées par arrêté des ministres chargés de la santé et des transports.
