Article R312-5 of the French Consumer Code

All the information provided for in articles R. 312-2 to R. 312-4 is presented in accordance with the information sheet referred to in article L. 312-12 and appended to this code. Before providing this sheet, and unless it is clear that this is not the case, the creditor or credit intermediary shall ask the borrower whether the purpose of the transaction is to repay at least two previous debts, including a current loan.

L’ensemble des informations prévues aux articles R. 312-2 à R. 312-4 est présenté conformément à la fiche d’information mentionnée à l’article L. 312-12 et figurant en annexe au présent code. Avant la fourniture de cette fiche, et sauf s’il apparaît manifestement que tel n’est pas le cas, le prêteur ou l’intermédiaire de crédit demande à l’emprunteur si l’opération a pour objet le remboursement d’au moins deux créances antérieures dont un crédit en cours.
