Article R313-15 of the French Consumer Code

The creditor or credit intermediary shall warn the borrower of the need to provide accurate and complete information so that a proper assessment can be made. The lender or credit intermediary shall inform the borrower that credit cannot be granted if the lender is unable to carry out a credit assessment due to the borrower’s refusal to provide this information. The creditor shall keep proof of this warning on a durable medium for the duration of the credit agreement.

Le prêteur ou l’intermédiaire de crédit avertit l’emprunteur de la nécessité de fournir des éléments exacts et complets afin qu’il puisse être procédé à une évaluation appropriée. Il l’informe que le crédit ne peut être accordé lorsque le prêteur ne peut procéder à l’évaluation de solvabilité du fait du refus de l’emprunteur de communiquer ces informations. Le prêteur conserve la preuve de cet avertissement sur support durable pendant la durée du contrat de crédit.
