Article R341-12 of the French Consumer Code

If the advertiser disseminates or causes to be disseminated advertising that does not comply with the obligations laid down in the provisions of articles L. 312-58, L. 312-59 and L. 312-61 is punishable by the fine laid down for 5th class offences.

The court may also order publication of the judgment and rectification of the advertising at the expense of the convicted person.

Le fait pour l’annonceur de diffuser ou de faire diffuser une publicité non conforme aux obligations prévues aux dispositions des articles L. 312-58, L. 312-59 et L. 312-61 est puni de la peine d’amende prévue pour les contraventions de la 5e classe.

Le tribunal peut également ordonner la publication du jugement et la rectification de la publicité aux frais du condamné.
