Article R3413-11 of the French Public Health Code

The relay doctor carries out a medical examination of the person concerned within one month of receiving the documents relating to the procedure.

In the light of this examination and the documents sent and, where applicable, the results of the investigation referred to in article L. 3413-1, the relay doctor will give the judicial authority his reasoned opinion on the medical appropriateness of the therapeutic injunction measure.

If he considers the measure to be medically appropriate, he will inform the person concerned of the procedures for carrying out the therapeutic injunction and invite him to choose a doctor to provide his medical care immediately or within ten days at the latest.

Article R3413-11

Le médecin relais procède à l’examen médical de l’intéressé dans le mois suivant la réception des pièces de la procédure.

Au vu de cet examen ainsi que des pièces transmises et, le cas échéant, du résultat de l’enquête mentionnée à l’article L. 3413-1, le médecin relais fait connaître à l’autorité judiciaire son avis motivé sur l’opportunité médicale de la mesure d’injonction thérapeutique.

S’il estime la mesure médicalement opportune, il fait part à l’intéressé des modalités d’exécution de l’injonction thérapeutique et l’invite à choisir immédiatement ou au plus tard dans un délai de dix jours un médecin destiné à assurer sa prise en charge médicale.
