Article R342-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

For the application of articles L. 342-1 and L. 342-4, the competent liberties and detention judge is that of the judicial court within whose jurisdiction the foreign national is held in the waiting zone.
The liberties and detention judge is seised by simple request from the authority that ordered the placement in the waiting zone.

Article R342-1

Pour l’application des articles L. 342-1 et L. 342-4, le juge des libertés et de la détention compétent est celui du tribunal judiciaire dans le ressort duquel l’étranger est maintenu en zone d’attente.
Le juge des libertés et de la détention est saisi par simple requête de l’autorité qui a prononcé le placement en zone d’attente.
