Article R342-5 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

As soon as the application is received, the court clerk will immediately notify by any means the authority that requested that the foreign national be kept in the waiting area, the departmental prefect or, in Paris, the police prefect, the public prosecutor, the foreign national and his or her lawyer, if any, of the day and time of the hearing set by the judge.

Dès réception de la requête, le greffier avise aussitôt et par tout moyen l’autorité qui a sollicité le maintien en zone d’attente, le préfet de département ou, à Paris, le préfet de police, le procureur de la République, l’étranger et son avocat, s’il en a un, du jour et de l’heure de l’audience fixés par le juge.
