Article R343-25 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Any journalist holding the professional identity card referred to in article L. 7111-6 of the French Labour Code may apply to the competent administrative authority for authorisation to enter a waiting area.
Any application must state the purpose, date, duration and conditions of the report. It shall be accompanied by a copy of the applicant’s press card and, where applicable, a copy of an identity document for persons whose presence is necessary for the report and who would not have the status of journalist.

Tout journaliste titulaire de la carte d’identité professionnelle mentionnée à l’article L. 7111-6 du code du travail peut demander à l’autorité administrative compétente à être autorisé à accéder à une zone d’attente.
Toute demande mentionne l’objet, la date, la durée et les modalités du reportage. Elle est accompagnée de la copie de la carte de presse du demandeur et, le cas échéant, d’une copie d’un titre d’identité des personnes dont la présence est nécessaire à la réalisation du reportage et qui n’auraient pas la qualité de journaliste.
