Article R4134-6 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The members of the regional economic, social and environmental council are appointed for six years.

In accordance with the procedure laid down in articles R. 4134-3 et R. 4134-4, to the vacancy of seats, within a period of two months from the date on which the vacancy is established by the regional prefect under the conditions specified by the rules of procedure provided for in article R. 4134-21.

Any person appointed to replace a member of the council shall hold office until the expiry of the term of office of the person they are replacing.

The term of office of members of the regional economic, social and environmental council is renewable.

Article R4134-6

Les membres du conseil économique, social et environnemental régional sont désignés pour six ans.

Il est pourvu, conformément à la procédure fixée aux articles R. 4134-3 et R. 4134-4, à la vacance des sièges, dans un délai de deux mois à dater de la constatation de celle-ci par le préfet de région dans les conditions précisées par le règlement intérieur prévu à l’article R. 4134-21.

Toute personne désignée pour remplacer un membre du conseil exerce son mandat jusqu’à expiration du mandat de la personne qu’elle remplace.

Le mandat des membres du conseil économique, social et environnemental régional est renouvelable.
