Article R4141-15 of the French Labour Code

In the event of the creation or modification of a workstation or technique exposing the worker to new risks and involving one of the tasks listed below, the worker shall, where appropriate, after analysis by the employer of the new working conditions, receive safety training on the conditions under which the work is performed:
1° Use of machinery, whether portable or not;
2° Handling or use of chemical products;
3° Handling operations;
4° Maintenance work on the establishment’s equipment and installations;
5° Driving vehicles, lifting equipment or machinery of any kind;
6° Work involving contact with dangerous animals;
7° Operations involving the erection, dismantling or conversion of scaffolding;
8° Use of rope access and positioning techniques.

En cas de création ou de modification d’un poste de travail ou de technique exposant à des risques nouveaux et comprenant l’une des tâches ci-dessous énumérées, le travailleur bénéficie, s’il y a lieu, après analyse par l’employeur des nouvelles conditions de travail, d’une formation à la sécurité sur les conditions d’exécution du travail :
1° Utilisation de machines, portatives ou non ;
2° Manipulation ou utilisation de produits chimiques ;
3° Opérations de manutention ;
4° Travaux d’entretien des matériels et installations de l’établissement ;
5° Conduite de véhicules, d’appareils de levage ou d’engins de toute nature ;
6° Travaux mettant en contact avec des animaux dangereux ;
7° Opérations portant sur le montage, le démontage ou la transformation des échafaudages ;
8° Utilisation des techniques d’accès et de positionnement au moyen de cordes.
