Article R424-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

If refugee status is terminated under the conditions laid down in article L. 424-6 by a final decision of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons or by a court decision, or if the foreign national renounces this status, the residence permit may be withdrawn.
When the permit is withdrawn pursuant to the first paragraph, the Prefect of the département in which the foreign national usually resides or, where the foreign national resides in Paris, the Prefect of the police department, shall rule within four months of notification of the decision to withdraw the residence permit on the right of the person concerned to reside on another basis.

Article R424-4

S’il est mis fin, dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 424-6, au statut de réfugié par décision définitive de l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides ou par décision de justice ou lorsque l’étranger renonce à ce statut, le titre de séjour peut être retiré.
Lorsque le titre est retiré en application du premier alinéa, le préfet du département où réside habituellement l’étranger ou, lorsque ce dernier réside à Paris, le préfet de police statue dans un délai de quatre mois à compter de la notification de la décision de retrait du titre de séjour sur le droit au séjour de l’intéressé à un autre titre.
