Article R425-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

During the reflection period provided for in article R. 425-2, foreign nationals are entitled to work and to vocational training. They may also benefit from:
1° The asylum seeker’s allowance provided for in Chapter III of Title V of Book V;
2° Social support to help them access their rights and regain their independence, provided by one of the organisations mentioned in the last paragraph of article R. 425-1;
3° In the event of danger, police protection for the duration of the criminal proceedings.
The care provided to the foreign national is paid for under the conditions set out in the fourth paragraph of article L. 251-1 of the Social Action and Family Code.

Article R425-4

Pendant le délai de réflexion prévu à l’article R. 425-2, l’étranger a droit à l’exercice d’une activité professionnelle et à la formation professionnelle. Il peut également bénéficier :
1° De l’allocation pour demandeur d’asile prévue au chapitre III du titre V du livre V ;
2° D’un accompagnement social destiné à l’aider à accéder aux droits et à retrouver son autonomie, assuré par un des organismes mentionnés au dernier alinéa de l’article R. 425-1 ;
3° En cas de danger, d’une protection policière pendant la durée de la procédure pénale.
Les soins qui sont délivrés à l’étranger sont pris en charge dans les conditions prévues au quatrième alinéa de l’article L. 251-1 du code de l’action sociale et des familles.
