Article R4313-62 of the French Labour Code

The EC quality assurance system for production with surveillance is the procedure whereby a manufacturer:

1° has a quality assurance system approved by a notified body of his choice ;

2° entrusts this body with the task of checking, by means of surveillance, that it correctly fulfils the obligations arising from the approved quality assurance system.

Le système d’assurance qualité CE de la production avec surveillance est la procédure par laquelle un fabricant :

1° Fait approuver un système d’assurance qualité par un organisme notifié de son choix ;

2° Confie à cet organisme le soin de contrôler, par surveillance, qu’il remplit correctement les obligations résultant du système d’assurance qualité approuvé.
