Article R4313-79 of the French Labour Code

An assembly of machinery consisting of the assembly of a machine or tractor with interchangeable equipment is not required to satisfy the conformity certification procedure applicable to that assembly if the two constituent parts are compatible with each other and if each of those parts has satisfied the conformity assessment procedure applicable to it.

Un ensemble de machines constitué par l’assemblage d’une machine ou d’un tracteur avec un équipement interchangeable n’est pas tenu de satisfaire à la procédure de certification de conformité applicable à cet ensemble si les deux parties constitutives sont compatibles entre elles et si chacune de ces parties a satisfait à la procédure d’évaluation de la conformité qui lui est applicable.
